Workshop 1
Titel: Gewaltfreie Kommunikation für Christ*innen
Kurze Beschreibung: Die Gewaltfreie Kommunikation zielt darauf ab mit anderen Menschen wertschätzend zu kommunizieren und Konflikte friedlich zu lösen. Daher trägt sie dazu bei gesunde Beziehungen aufzubauen und zu erhalten, sei es in der Familie, auf der Arbeit oder mit anderen Menschen in unserem Bekanntenkreis. Es ist eine gute Praxis, um christliche Gebot der Nächstenliebe zu leben.
Familienorientiert: Offen für alle Interessierten - gerne auch Kinder. Leitung: Beate Neumann-Kamdem
Workshop 2
- NVC (nonviolent communication, also called empathic communication)
Dieser Workshop findet in englischer Sprache statt. Bei Bedarf kann eine Übersetzung ins Deutsche organisiert werden.
Titel: Empathy in Edith Stein and the way towards compassionate listening.
For Edith Stein, through empathy, we become aware of the experience of another. Empathy is at the basis for exchanging thoughts and feelings in a relationship. It also allows us to see ourselves from the standpoint of how others see us. In this way, we can begin to open up to the other and listen to the other, with honesty, vulnerability and ultimately compassion.
Kurze Beschreibung: Disagreement as a way for deeper connection.
When we disagree with the other, especially if the other is meaningful to us, we might end up with situations where we do not feel like we are being listened to, or that whatever we say is not taken seriously, or that it is best not to talk and to give in, in order to avoid conflicts. This may lead to more and more distance in relationships or it can be a way towards more authenticity and more compassion. NVC teaches us that conflict is rooted in language. The way we use our words and the way we hear the message behind the words, discourages or fosters our human connection with the other. NVC gives us practical tools to maintain the art of compassionate dialogue and listening in moments of difficulties and even conflicts. It helps us express our thoughts and feelings with honesty and compassion for ourselves and the others. In this way, we begin to “ practice “ empathy where true honest sharing can take place.

Anschließend gibt es eine gemeinsame Abschlussrunde und einen gemeinsamen Ausklang bei Kaffee und Kuchen.
Dieser Tag wird von der Gemeinde St. Edith Stein und dem Centre for Dialogue veranstaltet.
